I guess I'm getting old, old enough to be seriously complimented when my almost 5 year old neighbor says,
"When I first met you, I didn't think you were a mom."
I asked what that meant, of course, because "Mom" is my favorite name and the proudest accomplishment of my life. She went on to say,
"I thought you were a sister or something."
I can't remember the last time I felt so flattered. Really.

the first time she met you in this life i bet she truly thought you were(/are) her sister bc that's what she remembered. it was probably like seeing her sister for the first time in a long time! :) and bc you're so gorgeous!

Cute!
LOL That's awesome!!!
I remember having dinner with you @ the Lion House before going to the Conference Center for the General Relief Society broadcast before Sophia was born. You shared the relationship you wanted to have with your daughter. I remember feeling the "LOVE" then, so I'm sure she heard your words.
Sophia has the most delightful voice and I love to hear her speak. Thank you for sharing....
wow! You are a pretty hip mom so I can see why she thought that!
SOoooo cute and funny!
This is great! Funny, enjoyable to read. You are a great writer.
Hi Sherri!
So happy to e-meet you. I love this story. Aren't 5 year olds grand--they have no filter whatsoever and it is just charming (even when the things they tell you aren't so charming). We'd love to get together with your family! Let's coordinate!
